Happy Holidays everyone, long time no hear of any Drizzt news that I am aware of, but I could not close out the year without something. I came across this article done back in August of an interview of R.A.Salvatore from Geekdad.com that I thought was a good read, check it out here.
Also there is a new book coming out, not Drizzt related, but may be enjoyable since it is written by our favorite author titled "Child of a Mad God" here is the synopsis: Set in the magical world of Corona is the story of a young woman, the daughter of a witch, born under the Blood Moon, how she finds herself alone in a tribe of vicious barbarians, and how she came to know the world.

Feels like it has been forever, and it has. There has just been nothing interesting to report for Drizzt. Next to the books I keep hoping for news of a Drizzt video game or movie, but when fantasy films such War Cfraft and more recently as King Arthur gets released and no one goes to see them, that does not help the fantasy genre especially Drizzt.
My only hope was Sony's announcement of a He-man movie is a box office hit and puts a shot in the arm of Fantasy and becomes as popular as the Lord of the Rings trilogy originally was and Game of Thrones currently is. But surprisingly Actor Joe Manganiello from True Blood and Magic Mike is a fan of the genre as well and also has not given up. He has hopes of getting Dungeons and Dragons off the ground and on the big screen. Check out the article from Dark Horizons.
Oh yeah, I actually liked King Arthur, I give it a 7/10, if you are a fan of Guy Ritchie films such as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, then you will enjoy King Arthur.
